Build and Disassemble Processes

Use the MF module to create (build) or disassemble stock items directly from inventory. These processes automatically update inventory quantities and values based on the components consumed or recovered. The system calculates costs using either the standard cost method or user-defined values, ensuring consistency with your accounting preferences.

Simple and Multi-Level Assemblies

Manufactured items can be assembled from one or more components, including other manufactured items, allowing for multi-level build structures. This supports hierarchical assembly processes, with all component usage and costs tracked through to the final item.

Single-Step Stock Adjustments

A manufacturing transaction in Accredo acts as a single-step stock adjustment: deducting component items from inventory and adding the finished product in one cohesive process. This eliminates the need for manual journal entries or separate adjustments, simplifying administration and reducing errors.

Flexible Build Types

Choose between using standard component lists (saved recipes) or entering items manually for ad hoc or one-off builds. The MF module supports both recurring builds of standard assemblies and flexible construction for customised or irregular products.

Cost Roll-Ups and Control

Accredo automatically rolls up the costs of all component items, including nested assemblies, to calculate the total cost of the manufactured item. You can override these costs at the time of build to reflect actual usage or valuation changes, providing greater cost control and traceability.

Batch Tracking and Traceability

All manufacturing entries are recorded with batch identifiers and full audit trails. This allows you to review build history, monitor stock flows related to manufacturing activities, and ensure accountability throughout the production process.
