Lookups contain a list of values that are in the database.

Each Lookup has a right-click context menu. You can right-click on any part of the lookup to see the options available.

Lookup |
Opens a drop-down list where you can select a value. |

Word Lookup |
Click to access Word Lookup. You can enter words or partial words that will be searched. Searches use indexes set up in the Settings for the module. Columns shown are the fields Customised into the code, see below. To sort the results, click on the column headings. |

Filter & Sort |
You can Filter the list of records to show a smaller subset, or you can sort the list. |

Show Inactive Records |
Include inactive records in the list. You can make records inactive by selecting the checkbox in the master file for the record. To display this button for Custom Tables, ensure the Table has Indices called ActiveMaster (having as the first field a boolean named Inactive) and Master. For example, ActiveProduct and Product. Note: For AR Customers and AP Creditors, toggling this will also toggle the Show / Hide Inactive button on the Contacts tab. |

Links |
Opens Links On... You can view links for the selected record. The Links button changes to indicate whether the record has:

Memos, Alarms & Reminders |
Opens Memos On.... View, add, delete or edit memos and alarms. The Memos button changes to indicate whether the record has:

Open Masterfile |
Open the Master file associated with the value in the Lookup. |

Customise |
To access the Customise option, right-click the Lookup to see the context menu. You can customise fields shown in the lookup. Fields selected will be shown as columns in the Word Lookup. |
Note: If you leave the Memos On... or Links On... list open, they will synchronise with the Lookup selection, so if you select another record, they will show details for the selected record.
To select a value in a Lookup control, you can:
F7 or F8 to scroll backwards or forwards one at a time.Shift+F7 or Shift+F8 to select the first or last record.+ or - (numeric keypad) in a Period Lookup to move forward or backward a period.Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down or Ctrl++ or Ctrl+- (numeric keypad) in a Period Lookup to select the same period Last Year or Next Year.Up, Down, Page Up, Page Down, Home, End to move to the record.Some Lookups have multiple indexes. For example, IC Product Codes are indexed on Description and Details by default. A drop-down list will show the primary index, but you can show the alternate index. Alternative indexes are not necessarily unique. To access an alternative index:
Alt and click Alt+F2 to show the alternative index when you open the drop-down.Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down when the drop-down is open to toggle indexes.
