Set Preferences for a User.

Use machine date on startup

Selected, System Date is the computer date on Company open. System Period is the period that contains that date (if found).

Clear, System Date and System Period retain their most recent values.

Update date at midnight

Selected, If System Date is the computer date and the user is logged in over midnight, the System Date and Period will roll forward.

Clear, System Date and System Period do not roll forward until company is closed and reopened.

Prompt for date on startup

Selected, on Company open, a message requests System Date and System Period.

Clear, Company will open with the most recent date and period, or the computer date and matching period if Use machine date on startup (above) is Selected.

Show created & modified status bar on records

Selected, shows the User code and Date and Time stamp the record was created, or last modified.

Show period status bar

Selected, the Current Period is shown beside each Module code.

Show detailed hint on lookup controls

Selected, hovering over a lookup code, a hint appears with details of the code per the fields selected in the lookup.

Clear, the hint is inactivated.

Show extra buttons on lookup controls

Selected, all buttons on Lookups are available.

Clear, filter, memo, open and show inactive buttons are not shown, keyboard shortcuts will operate.

Always show buttons when editing

Selected, buttons (for example, the calculator, or lookup) become available for read-only controls.

Hide usages by default

Selected, Show/Hide Usages for Manual Kitsets in IN Enter Invoices and OE Enter Sales Order lines will be set to Hide by default.

Clear, ShowComponents Show/Hide Usages for Manual Kitsets in IN Enter Invoices and OE Order Entry will be set to Show by default.

Prompt for Delete Line On by default

Selected, RecordConfirmDelete Prompt for Delete Line buttons will be set to On by default. The "Delete record?" confirmation message will appear when lines are deleted.

Unselected, RecordNoConfirmDelete Prompt for Delete Line buttons will be set to Off by default.

Show Memo Previews

Selected, show the the preview pane on Memo windows.

Clear, hide the preview pane on Memo windows.

Enable Delete on document and batch forms

Selected, (default) when the user has delete permission, the Delete button on form toolbars is enabled.

Clear, the Delete button on form toolbars is not enabled. This can be used when users are confusing the Delete Document and Delete Line buttons.

Hide completed OE lines by default

Selected, hide status Processed and Cancelled lines for Unprocessed and Open Orders in OE Sales Orders.

Clear, show all lines for Unprocessed and Open Orders in OE Sales Orders.

HideCompletedLines and ShowCompletedLines Hides or shows completed lines on the order.

Hide completed PO lines by default

Selected, hide status Processed and Cancelled lines for Unprocessed and Open Orders in PO Purchase Orders.

Clear, show status Processed lines for Unprocessed and Open Orders in PO Purchase Orders.

HideCompletedLines and ShowCompletedLines Hides or shows completed lines on the order.

Ctrl+Left & Ctrl+Right move to Next/Previous

  • Word, the Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right keys operate as word left and right within an edit control.
  • Column, the Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right keys move to the next column in multi column forms.
  • Field, the Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right move to the next control (same as Tab / Shift+Tab).

Reminder Interval

How long prior to events to be reminded.

Dismiss Reminder

Preferred action when dismissing reminders.

  • Inactivate, default, Reminder is set to Inactive.
  • To Memo, Reminder is converted to a Memo and left as Active.

Contact Lookup ordering

Determine the order for looking up Contacts.

Memo Tab Ordering

Sort Order to display memos. Select from:

  • Descending Date
  • Ascending Date

UOM Enquiry Default

Sets the UOM Code in IC Product - Quantity tab ,IC Product - Locations tab (Saturn only) ,IC Product Quantities and IC Product Tracking Quantities forms to the specified UOM Code for the selected Product.

If UOM is Active select from Base UOM (default), Sale UOM, Purchase UOM or Manufacture UOM.

Note: This tab is not available for Groups or Roles, as Groups and Roles do not have Preferences.
