JC Job - Information tab

Navigator > Maintain > Job Costing > Jobs > Information tab

The RecordDescription icon in the tab indicates that information has been entered, RecordNoDescription indicates the tab is currently empty.

This is very similar to the JC Job - Description tab. Commonly, the Description tab is used for customer facing use, and the Information tab is used for internal use. Use the Information tab for details you don't want shown on Quotes and Invoices.

Unlimited lines can be entered, and you can add, select and save a Global Narrative. Lines can be printed on the report and may be included in word lookups.

Narrative

Select to insert a Global Narrative.

Click the Insert / Replace (Ctrl+I) button to toggle between Append Insert and Replace Replace.

When the button shows Append Insert, selecting a Global Narrative will insert the Global Narrative text in the Narrative Editor.

When the button shows Replace Replace, selecting a Global Narrative will replace the text in the Narrative Editor with the Global Narrative text.

Toolbar

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Ctrl+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

SpellCheck

Spell Check (F7)

Activates Accredo spell check. Spelling is also checked as you type, right-click words for suggested corrections. Spell check options and dictionaries are set in Company Settings - Spellcheck tab.

Print (Ctrl+P)

Print the narrative record.

Save global narrative

Save as a Global Narrative.

Job Information

You can enter unlimited lines of text. Lines can be printed on the report and are included in word lookups.

Line breaks are stored so the description can extend across the page.
