Navigator > Maintain > Job Costing > Jobs > Description tab
The
icon in the tab indicates that a description has been entered,
indicates the tab is currently empty.
This is similar to the JC Job - Information tab. Commonly, the Description tab is used for customer facing use, and the Information tab is used for internal use.
Information on the Description tab may be shown on Quotes and Invoices, or copied to Job Invoices as narrative for editing, see the Copy Description to Invoices setting in JC Settings - Invoicing Tab.
Unlimited lines can be entered, and you can add, select and save a Global Narrative. Lines can be printed on the report and may be included in word lookups.

Job Description |
You can enter unlimited lines of text. Lines can be printed on the report and are included in word lookups. Lines will print on Job sheets and quotes, and are accessible from Invoice Designer, they can be printed on invoices raised from the job. Line breaks are stored so the description can extend across the page on Job Quotes, Job Sheets and Invoices. |
