Job - Estimate tab

Navigator > Maintain > Job Costing > Jobs > Estimate tab

Lines can have Quantity, Cost and Sell, and are included in estimate calculations.

You can enter estimates in JC. Job analysis is as useful as the estimate prepared, for example, if you estimate a single figure for a job, the analysis reports can only compare the total costs against this figure. You can break the job down into different areas (Cost Centres, Components) for analysis reporting. There are a number of ways to prepare estimates, including a task list (using Custom 1) to prompt you to include all costs, or by copying previous estimates and including Standard or Sub jobs. You can only edit the estimate if the job is not complete.

See also JC Job - Job tab.
