FA Asset Books

Navigator > Setup > Fixed Assets > Asset Books

You can add, edit or delete Asset Book codes. You can have one or more Book codes, for example, one for tax reporting, another for management reports. Asset values, Depreciation rates and methods are stored for each Book code.

To add an Asset Book,

  1. Enter Depreciation codes and rates for the new book for all active assets, either:
  2. Enter Depreciation defaults from Navigator > Setup > Fixed Assets > Depreciation Defaults, click APPLY - OR -
  3. Run Open book from Navigator > Setup > Fixed Assets > Open Book, to create dissections for existing transactions for active assets for the new book. Addition, Disposal and Manual Depreciation transactions are copied from the source book specified. Generated depreciation is calculated based on values set for the new book.
  4. Check the results.
