Memos, Alarms & Reminders

Memos can be used to store information and messages associated with Accredo data.

Memos can be associated with:

Most Records have a Memos tab, that lists all memos. Memos for a record can also accessed from the Memos button (F6) within the record, and from Navigator > Maintain > [Module] > Memos List.

There are three types of memos:

Accredo checks for Reminders every 5 minutes. Only one user will receive a Reminder. To set Reminders for more users, create duplicate reminders for each user. You can change the Target User Code to remind another user.

Alarms and Memos are available to all users.

Alarms can be associated with a record, or can be Global and not associated with a particular record.

The Memo button in the Lookup for a record indicates whether Memos, Alarms or Reminders are present:

No Memo

There are no memos attached to this record.

LookupMemo_Hot

Memo

One or more memos are attached to this record. These can be Memos, Reminders or Passive Alarms.

Passive Alarms have an Action On date later than the System Date. Passive alarms act like memos until the Action On date is reached, then become active alarms.

Reminders pop up information at the time specified in the Date and Time.

Active Alarm

Active alarms have no Action On date, or have an Action On date the same as or earlier than the System Date. Active alarms are associated with:

  • Records, triggered when you enter the record code in the Lookup.
  • Users, triggered on User logon.
  • Company, triggered when you first open a Company.

Click the Memos (F6) button on a Lookup to open Memos On....

To add Memos for a module, go to Navigator > Tasks > [Module] > Enter Memos.
