Alias Serial Nos

Navigator > Setup > Inventory Control > Alias Serial Nos

Select the product code. Search for a product using the Accredo Lookups.

Alias Serial Nos to correct mis-entered Serial numbers. This will update data and history to the new Serial No. When you Alias Serial Nos, a log of the changes is appended to the File Recovery Error Log, and recorded in the CO Alias and Merge Log. This is useful when you are integrating a third party application that will need to consider aliased records.

Selections

Product

Select the product to alias Serial Nos for.

Fields

From Serial Number

Enter the Serial No to be aliased.

To Serial Number

Enter the new Serial No. The To Serial No must not already exist in the system.

Grid Toolbar

Expand Toolbar (Alt+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Insert (F4)

Insert a line.

Move up / Move down

(Shift+Up)

(Shift+Down)

Move a line up or down the grid.

Delete (F3)

Delete a line.

Customise (Alt+F5)

Opens Customise Fields, you can customise the fields visible in the grid.

Import (Alt+I)

Import a list of Serial Nos to be changed. This can save time from entering Serial Nos individually. The import file must be a text file with one line per change. The fields on the line can be separated by commas (CSV format) or Tab characters (Tab delimited).

Additional fields will be ignored by the import. Only lines in which the From Serial No and To Serial No differ, and a match for the From Serial No is found are imported. When you import you may be prompted with the Alias Importing report selections, this report shows any error messages for lines which are not imported. If there are errors an exceptions file containing the rejected records is created with file name extension .EXC.

Customise Toolbar or right-click in the toolbar below the buttons to access the Customise Toolbar Menu.

Buttons

Print (Ctrl+P)

Print the list of Serial Nos aliased.

Post (Alt+T)

Post the changes.
