Toolbar > ScriptAddShortcut Add Shortcut

Use the Script Shortcut Editor to create a shortcut on a toolbar or in the navigator. Shortcuts can be created to run scripts, reports, forms or Special Pricing options.

Once a shortcut has been added, you can right-click the shortcut for options to Edit Shortcut, Edit Shortcut Source, Delete Shortcut or Duplicate Shortcut.

Shortcut Type

The type of file or form the shortcut is for.

[ ] Name

Enter a shortcut name, or click Select File (F2) to browse.

Shortcut Key

Specify the keyboard shortcut by pressing a key combination containing modifier keys, Alt or Ctrl or Shift. Once a keyboard shortcut is setup, when the Toolbar Name is active, the script will run when the key combination is pressed. For the Global toolbar, the shortcut will always be available.

If nothing happens or an unexpected result occurs, the shortcut may be in use by another object (as a toolbar button or menu option).

NOTE: We recommend using two of the three modifier keys, to avoid conflict with Accredo shortcuts. Use Ctrl+Shift or Ctrl+Alt or Alt+Shift.

Glyph

The glyph for a shortcut button on a toolbar or the Navigator. A number of glyphs are provided, or you can create a custom glyph. To see the Glyph Number, hover the mouse over the glyph. Click the glyph to select a glyph.

Glyph Number

The Index Number for the Glyph. If you know the number of the glyph you require, you can type it and press Enter.

Form Caption

The caption to be shown on a Custom Table Form, designed in Table Designer, or on a List View. Available for Shortcut Types TD Custom Table Form and List View only.

Available on Toolbar

Selected, makes the shortcut available as a button on the toolbar, and enables the Toolbar and Button Details fields.

Shortcuts for a Toolbar also be inserted via the Customise Toolbar option in Toolbar menus.

Note: For shortcuts to Scripts or Custom Forms added to Form Toolbars the Form is passed to the Script of Custom Form as the Trigger Object and can be accessed using the GetTriggerObject function.

Toolbar Name

Select the form Toolbar Name to display the shortcut on. Select Global to display the shortcut on the main Accredo Toolbar. Defaults to Global.

Button Order

User-defined shortcut buttons are left to right of the toolbar, from lowest to highest button number; the number entered defines the default position of the button relative to other User-defined buttons.

Use the ShowNavigatorOrder Show Button Order on Hints button to show or hide the order numbers on buttons when the mouse is hovered over script shortcut buttons on the Global toolbar.

Button order and visibility within a Form or Grid toolbar can be Customised.

Button Hint

The name to appear in Form and Grid menus and hint when you rest the mouse over the button.

Note: Ampersand must be entered as && to display correctly as a single & in hint.

Available in Navigator

Selected, makes the shortcut available as an Accredo Navigator item, and enables the Navigator Details fields.

Tab Name

Select or enter the Navigator tab for the shortcut to appear on. To add a new tab to the Navigator, enter a new tab name.

Tab Order

Select the position of the tab, when a new Tab is added. For existing tabs, the order number is displayed.

Use the ShowNavigatorOrder Display Navigator Item Ordering (Ctrl+H) button to show or hide the order numbers on items in the Navigator.

Action Name

The shortcut name to be displayed in the Navigator.

To add the shortcut to a folder, you can type the folder name, followed by \ before the shortcut name. For example, to add a shortcut called Find Customer in the Accounts Receivable folder, type AR\Find Customer. To set the position of the folder, enter the Order number in angle brackets at the start of the folder name, for example <100>AR\Find Customer. Module acronyms are expanded, so AR becomes Accounts Receivable in the Navigator.

Navigator Order

Select the sequence within the tab and folder. Defaults to 1000 when Add to Navigator is selected.

Items with the same Order are displayed in alphabetical order. We recommend using unique Order numbers.

Use the ShowNavigatorOrder Display Navigator Item Ordering (Ctrl+H) button to show or hide the order numbers on items in the Navigator.
