Report Preview

Preview reports before printing, sending or saving the report as a file. Report Preview will open when you click Run with Screen as the destination, from Report Selections Form.

If Enable Clickable Fields is selected in Preferences for the Report then Double-Click a value to drill down to source record.

Note: If Single-Click is preferred for drill down a User Preference is available.

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Alt+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Zoom Width

Makes the visible width of the current page fit inside the window.

Zoom To Fit

Makes the current page fit inside the window.

Report2Up

Two Pages

Shows two pages of the report in the Report Preview window. Use the Zoom to Fit or Zoom Width button to resize the report in the window.

Zoom 100 (Ctrl+0)

Set the zoom of the document to 100% (full size).

Zoom in (Num +) (Ctrl+Num +) (Ctrl+Mouse Wheel Up)

Zoom in. Maximum zoom is 400%.

Zoom out (Num -) (Ctrl+Num -) (Ctrl+Mouse Wheel Down)

Zoom out. Minimum zoom is 10%.

First Page (Home)

(Ctrl+Home)

Display the first page of the report.

Previous Page (Page Up)
(Ctrl+Page Up)

 

Display the previous page of the report.

Next Page (Page Down)
(Ctrl+Page Down)

Display the next page of the report.

Last page (End)
(Ctrl+End)

Display the last page of the report.

Printer Settings

Select printer settings.

Reports are generated using existing printer settings. If you change the settings, the report may not render correctly (for example, if the paper size or orientation is changed, parts may be clipped). To avoid this, you can generate the report again and select Printer Settings from the Report Selections Form. Changes are not retained if you generate the report again.

Print (Ctrl+P)

Print the report to the selected printer.

Save Report (Ctrl+S)

Saves the report in the Default File Format selected in Report Preferences. Reports can be viewed from Navigator > Reports > View Saved Report, or Adobe Reader. The file name defaults to the report title, this can be replaced.

Mail Report (Ctrl+M)

To email reports you must have a MAPI email package installed.

Regenerate Report (F5)

Regenerate a report retaining selections, filters and any ScriptArgs passed. This is useful when you are refining a selection. This can also be used to try alternate report customisations, or to print a report to a different printer.

Report Preview Navigation Keys

Shows one page of the report at a time.

Up

Move up one line at a time.

Down

Move down one line at a time.

Page Up

Move up one page at a time.

Page Down

Move down one page at a time.

Home

Move to the top of the first page.

End

Move to the end of the last page.
