The Navigator

Accredo > View > Navigator

The Navigator opens when you open a Company, and lets you navigate around Accredo. The Navigator has the following tabs:

• Maintain - contains maintenance options grouped by Module.
• Tasks - contains tasks and transactions grouped by Module, and importing options.
• Reports - produce reports, emails and other documents, and custom reports. Also contains exporting options.
• Setup - setup options for each Module, and design documents, emails, and tables. Also contains the SQL Query Builder, Memory Table Builder, Report Designer and Form Designer.
• Custom tabs - custom tabs can be added and displayed in the Navigator.

The Navigator tabs contain folders, sub-folders and menu options. The selected tab is highlighted. You can click to move between tabs, open and close folders and subfolders and open menu options, or you can use the Navigator Keyboard Shortcuts. We recommend you familiarise yourself with the keyboard options, to make navigating through Accredo faster.

The Navigator folders remain open or closed as set, making it easy to select related functions as tasks are completed.

Docking the Navigator

You can dock the Navigator to the left or right of the Accredo window.

To dock the Navigator, click the Accredo Saturn or Mercury icon at the top left of the Navigator, then select Reset Navigator or Dock Left or Dock Right.

To minimise or maximise the docked Navigator, click Navigator (Alt+F10) on the Accredo toolbar or go to Accredo > View > Navigator.

To undock the Navigator, drag it away from the screen edge. If other windows hide the Navigator, click Navigator (Alt+F10) on the Accredo toolbar.

You can set the default opening position for the Navigator in Accredo > View > Preferences > Display tab.

The docked Navigator has a context menu. Right-click on the docked Navigator title bar to show the context menu and select from:

• Reset Navigator.
• Undock Navigator.
• Close Navigator.

Customising the Navigator

You can customise the Navigator, by adding shortcuts, changing folder order and adding tabs. See Script Shortcut Editor.

You can remove access to Standard Forms, see Using Events to Control Form Access.

The Navigator in Scripting

You can set the status of the Navigator using MaxBasic code in the Script Editor, using the following methods to expand and minimise the navigator:

• Company.ExpandNavigator - will expand the navigator if it is currently docked and minimised.
• Company.MinimiseNavigator - will minimise the navigator if it is currently docked and not minimised.

Navigator Items

Click items in the navigator to open them. You can middle-click (if your mouse has a middle button) or press Ctrl and Left-Click an item in the Navigator to open it as a floating window.
