Forms and Grids

Tab

Enter

Moves to the next control.

Note: In a Narrative Editor, such as a Memo body or Description tab (as in FA Asset - Description tab or JC Job - Description tab), Tab or Enter will add a Tab or Enter character. Use Ctrl+Tab to move to the next control.

Down

Moves to next line of a grid.

Shift+Tab

Shift+Enter

Moves to previous control (except grids).

Up

Moves to previous line of a grid.

Home

Move to the start of the control.

End

Move to the end of the control.

Ctrl+Left

Ctrl+Left & Ctrl+Right move to Next/Previous in Users, Groups and Roles - Preferences tab determines behavior.

Move to the next control left (form), or the next field left (grid), or move one word to the left.

Ctrl+Right

Move to the next control right (form), or next field right (grid), or move one word to the right.

Ctrl+Home

Moves to the first editable control (form) or to the first line (grid).

Ctrl+End

Moves to the last editable control (form) or to the last line (grid).

Ctrl+Enter

Moves to the first editable field of the next line on grids.

Esc

If data was edited, reverts to the state when the control (form) or field (grid) was entered. If data in the control or field was not edited, closes the window.

Page Down

Moves down in a grid by one window.

Page Up

Moves up in a grid by one window.

Between Tabs with a Form

Ctrl+Page Down

Page Down

If not used by a control on a grid or memo, moves to next tab.

Ctrl+Page Up Page Up

If not used by a control on a grid or memo, moves to previous tab.

Between Windows

Ctrl+F6

Moves to next window in Windows menu sequence.

Shift+Ctrl+F6

Moves to previous window in Windows menu sequence.

Ctrl+Tab

Moves to next window in Tab Window sequence.

Shift+Ctrl+Tab

Moves to previous window in Tab Window sequence.

System Menu

Alt+Space

Display the system menu for the Main Window.

Alt+-

Display the system menu for the MDI window or Tab.

Alt+W

From the system menu, toggle between Move to New Window, and Move to Main Window.

Move to New Window makes the form a floating window.

Move to Main Window makes the form a normal MDI child window.
