Markup Basis

Set the markup basis for markup percentages to calculate Selling Prices.

None

Markup percentages act as memo fields in IC (that is, they are not used in calculating Selling Prices) but can be used for markups in JC.

Standard

Markup percentages are applied to the standard cost to calculate the Selling Price.

Latest

Markup percentages are applied to the latest cost to calculate the Selling Price.

Average

Markup percentages are applied to the average cost to calculate the Selling Price.

Price Code

Markup percentages are applied to the Selling Price for the Price code specified in Default Markup Price Code.

When you change to Price Code basis, on Save, you will be prompted to apply the Default Markup Price Code to all Price Lists without a Markup Price Code, which are not a source for Markups.

This is required when the Markup Basis is Price Code. Select the default Price Code.

They will be available for filtering and sorting Product records, can be customised into product lookups, and allow backwards compatibility for existing scripts and EDI import and export routines from versions prior to 2.5.
