IC Reprice from Components

Navigator > Tasks > Inventory Control > Update Prices > Reprice from Components

Re-calculate Cost and Selling Prices for Manufactured and Manual Kitset items from the component Cost and Selling Prices so you can update a price on a Manufactured item if a single component increases in cost. Choose Products to reprice by applying a Product range, filtering on the Product file, selecting by Stock Group and by Creditor. Repricing from components does not apply to Automatic Kitset lines, as these do not have their own price.

Update Type

Select from:

  • Query Run, (default), new prices for each Product will be shown in a query window before updating. You will have the choice for each Product to edit, update or cancel.
  • Report Only, report the effect of applying the selections made in the Price Update without actually changing the prices. If report destination is Screen select Regenerate from the Report Preview to return to the selection form with all selections retained.
  • Automatic, proceed with the price update based on the selections.

Cost Prices to Update

Select cost prices repricing applies to. If using a query run, prices can be updated manually.

Markup Basis

Select the basis to mark up by. Defaults to the Markup Basis specified in IC Settings.

If Automatically Apply Markups is Selected in IC Settings, this is set to the Default Markup Basis and cannot be changed.

Sell Prices

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Ctrl+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Customise Fields (Alt+F5)

Opens Customise Fields - you can customise fields visible in the grid.

Action

  • None, no change to the sell price.
  • Update, update the sell price to the sum of the component prices multiplied by the component quantities.
  • Markup, re-calculate the sell price by marking up from the Markup Basis price after prices are updated.

Code

The Price code.

Currency

The currency for the Price code.

Markup Price

If Markup Basis is Price code - the Price code that this Price code is marked up from.

Round Direction

Default from the Price Code settings. Specify the rounding direction used when calculating the price for a product where markups or global price update is used.

Round Unit

Defaults from the Price Code settings. If you type a value here, the newly calculated prices will be rounded to match the amount, for example, to round to the nearest dollar, enter 1.00.

Include Inactive

Selected, include inactive products in the update.

Run (F9)

Reprice and show the results.
