Phone Number transformation rules can be used to transform phone number fields for TAPI, lookups and optionally during data entry. You can define Phone Number transformation rules to store a transformed version of your phone numbers for Phone Number lookup, TAPI events and Phone Lists.

Transformations

add input and output masks to transform phone numbers.
phone number is transformed by the first rule it matches on the input side.
# matches any single digit at that position.
* matches any string of digits, spaces and dashes are ignored.

Transformation rules can be imported and exported.

For example to create Transformed numbers with spaces, dashes and braces stripped, add the following rules:

Input	Output	Comment
()	**	Strips brackets from phone numbers.
*	*	Leaves un-bracketed numbers as they are.

Test your transformation rules by entering a phone number in the Number field, and clicking the arrow . The transformed number is displayed and a status hint indicates the rule that was matched.


Transform Phone No On Save		Selected, phone numbers are transformed after you edit and exit a phone number field.
Grid Toolbar
	Expand Toolbar `(Ctrl+F9)`	Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press `Esc` to close the expanded toolbar.
	Insert `(F4)`	Insert a line.
	Move up / Move down `(Shift+Up)` `(Shift+Down)`	Move a line up or down the grid.
	Delete `(F3)`	Delete a line.
	Export to file `(Alt+E)`	Export the transformations to a file.
	Import from file `(Alt+I)`	Imports transformations from a file.
	Rebuild Phone List	Rebuild the phone lookup list from current contacts and users.
