Set the number of decimal places for a variety of figures. Edit decimal options when you setup a Company for the first time.
Decimal places for:
Discounts (0-4) |
Specify the decimal places for discounts on invoices set in the Discount Schedule. |

Markups (0-4) |
If you have IC installed and use mark-ups to calculate Selling Prices, you can set the number of decimal places for mark-up percentages. |

Quantities (0-6) |
Supply goods and control stock in whole units, or fractions of a unit. You can state quantities with up to six decimal places for an accuracy of 0.000001, for example, if you sell items in kilograms or litres. Warning: To decrease the number of decimal places for Quantities, you will first need to deal explicitly with part quantities In Stock. Do this by entering an adjustment transaction or complete a stocktake to clear the part quantity and then update variances. Check there are no part quantities on Pending Stock Movements, and edit any pending documents as necessary. |

Quantity Multipliers (0-8) |
For UOM, the maximum number of decimal places accepted for UOM Multipliers. UOM Multipliers determine how many of the UOM to convert to the Base UOM. |

Weights (0-6) |
IC installed, determine the decimal accuracy for the Weight field. |

Volumes (0-6) |
IC installed, determine the decimal accuracy for the Volume field. |

Tax Rates (0-4) |
Specify the number of decimal places for the GST rate. |

Depn Rates (0-4) |
FA installed, specify the number of decimal places for Depreciation rates. |
|
Exchange Rates (0-9) |
Specify the number of decimal places for Exchange rates. |
|
Duty Rates (0-2) |
Specify the number of decimal places for Duty rates. |

Interest Rates (0-9) |
Specify the number of decimal places for Interest rates. |

Amounts Max Digits |
The maximum number of digits allowed for Amount figures. This includes digits both sides of the decimal point. For example, if this were set to 10, and you allow 2 decimal places for Amounts in Currencies, the maximum amount allowed would be 99999999.99 (10 digits). Setting this to 12 or lower can prevent bar codes accidentally being scanned in to Amount fields. |

Prices Max Digits |
The maximum number of digits allowed for Price figures. This includes digits both sides of the decimal point. For example, if this were set to 10, and you allow 4 decimal places for Prices in Currencies, the maximum price allowed would be 999999.9999 (10 digits). Setting this to 12 or lower can prevent bar codes accidentally being scanned in to Price fields. |

Quantities Max Digits |
The maximum number of digits allowed for Quantity figures. This includes digits both sides of the decimal point. For example, if this were set to 10, and you allow 3 decimal places for Quantities, the maximum quantity allowed would be 9999999.999 (10 digits). Setting this to 12 or lower can prevent bar codes accidentally being scanned in to Quantity fields. |
