The Action Bar is at the top of the main Accredo window. Type what you want to open or add, then press Enter. When the Action Bar is empty it shows Action (Ctrl-Alt-K). Press Ctrl+Alt+K from anywhere in Accredo to move the cursor to the Action Bar.
The Action Bar works only when a company is open. It offers only the modules that are installed and the records that your user permissions allow. You need Read permission to open a record, and Write permission to add one. Messages appear as a hint beside the Action Bar.
These are examples of what you can type. See Action Bar - Catalog for the full list of names.

Customer ASHENG |
Opens the Customer with the code ASHENG. |
Customer auckland |
Where the word does not match a Customer code, the Customer words are searched. Where one active Customer matches, that Customer opens. Where more than one Customer matches, the Customer opens with the Word Lookup showing the matches, so that you can select the one you want. The word auckland would probably match more than one Customer. |

Add Invoice for ASHENG |
Opens a new Invoice for the Customer ASHENG. Where the word does not match a Customer code, the Customer words are searched. Where one Customer matches, the Invoice opens for that Customer. Where more than one Customer matches, the Invoice opens with the Word Lookup showing the matches, so that you can select the one you want. |

Opens the Order list, showing Packing Slips. Where a name is one class of document, the list opens showing that class. |
Packing Slip 300001 |
Opens the Order with the Packing Slip No 300001. You cannot add a packing slip from the Action Bar, because a packing slip is generated when you supply an Order. |
ARTran 12345 |
Opens the AR transaction with the transaction ID 12345. |
ASHENG |
Opens the record with the code ASHENG from your default search table. Right-click the Action Bar and select Set Default Search Table to set which table this is. |
You do not have to type the module code unless the same name is used in more than one module. Where it is, a list of the matching entries appears for you to select from. Type the module code to go straight to the one you want, for example IC Transfer or CB Transfer. Type a module code on its own to open that module's main list, so AP opens the Creditor list. Plurals and extra words such as the, for and please are ignored. A shortened name of four or more letters is matched where it is not ambiguous, so cred finds Creditor. A misspelt name of five or more letters is matched where only one name is close, so invocie finds Invoice.
You can type a table name in place of the name that appears on screen. For example, ARCUST ASHENG opens the same Customer as Customer ASHENG, and ICPROD opens the Product list. Type the table name in full, because a table name is not matched from its first few letters.
Where a word search finds more than one match, the form opens with the Word Lookup showing the matches, so that you can select the one you want. Where a Document No or Packing Slip No matches more than one document, a list of the matches appears for you to select from.
Where the Action Bar cannot tell what you mean, it first tries the term as a product bar code, a phone number and an email address. A term of exactly 13 digits opens the Product with that bar code. A term of 7 to 11 digits opens Phone Lookup with the matching numbers. A term containing @ opens Email Lookup with the matching addresses. You can ask for these directly: type Phone, Number, Mobile or Tel and a number for Phone Lookup, or Email and an address for Email Lookup.
Where none of these matches and you have not set a default search table, the Action Bar asks which file to search. A list appears with one row for each main file you have permission to read: Customer, Creditor, Product, Account, Job, Asset and Bank Account, each showing the term you typed. Select a row to search that file. Select Set Default Search Table to choose a file to use from now on, and the term is searched again straight away. Press Esc to close the list without searching.
Select the + button at the right of the Action Bar to open the Quick-add menu. The menu is grouped by module, and shows only the records that your permissions allow you to add.
Right-click the Action Bar for these options.
