The Default Search Masterfile dialog chooses the record type that is searched when you type a value on its own in the Action Bar. Right-click the Action Bar and select Set Default Search Table to open it.
For example, where the masterfile is Customer, type ASHENG in the Action Bar to open the Customer with the code ASHENG.
