Navigator > Setup > Data Interchange > Price Book Designer

Price Book Designer imports product and price information files. Create a definition file, then import using Navigator > Tasks > Price Book Import.

Definitions support file formats including CSV, fixed width ASCII and dBase files. When creating a definition or importing a file, preview the data in the file to create the correct definition. This is useful before importing to validate file format and data. Import definitions can contain MaxBasic code to manipulate data in the import file for:

• Calculating Selling Prices from Cost Prices (or vice versa).
• Applying exchange rates to prices in the file.
• Filtering unwanted records.
• Supplying constant values.

Note: A maximum of 255 characters per field applies in a PB Import file. Values longer than that will be truncated. For longer values use DI Importing where this constraint does not apply.
