PB Import Preview

Price Book Import preview opens before importing Price Book data. It is also available when designing a Price Book definition file. The file you are importing and its last modified date and time are shown to allow you to verify you are looking at the data you expect. When you are designing a definition, the Import button is not available. The grid shows the data in the file in accordance with the definition you are using. If this data does not look correct, do not proceed with the import. The likely causes of the data appearing incorrectly are,

• your supplier has sent you a file in an incorrect format.
• you are using the wrong price book definition for the file.
• you have not selected the correct file to import.

Preview shows the data contained in the import file. This does not necessarily fully represent the data that will be imported as you can manipulate the data with MaxBasic in the For Each Record code section of the definition.
