Install Accredo Client

Install the Accredo Server on a Network Server before installing the Accredo Client on a workstation or server, see Install Accredo Server.

Accredo Client installs the Accredo Client, Online Help, Team Viewer, ODBC driver and User Guide, registers Accredo for COM, and registers the AccredoDB.

Install the Accredo Client on the server, as well as workstations. When updates are installed on the Server, the Accredo executable file checks for updates and copies the new files to the client machine the next time the Accredo Client is opened on the workstation.

The installation creates a shortcut to the Accredo Client on the workstation desktop and adds Accredo Client to the Programs folder of the Windows Start Menu.

When you install Accredo on a workstation for the first time, restart the workstation after installation to activate the Registry changes.

1. Close all Windows programs.
2. Download and run the Saturn Client or Mercury Client install file from the Accredo Download Centre.
3. Click Next.
4. Read the License Statement, click I accept the agreement, click Next.
5. Click Next to accept the default destination folder, which creates an Accredo folder in Program Files, or Browse to select another location.
6. Click Next to accept the default Start Menu Folder, or Browse to select another folder.
7. Select to Create a desktop icon, and Register as a COM Server, click Next.
8. Click Install.
9. When the Installation Complete dialog appears, click Finish.
10. Restart the workstation if this is a first time installation.
