Install Accredo Server

Install Accredo Server on a network Server using the install key supplied with the Accredo Installation media.

Only install Accredo Server on one computer (the Network Server). Installation on more than one computer is an infringement of the licensing agreement. When the User License is installed on the Server, other computers on the network can access the Accredo Server.

Accredo Server installs the Accredo Server, Online Help, User Guide, Team Viewer and ODBC driver. The Server Install creates a set of folders used by the system, which must not be deleted. These include templates for new companies.

It is important to install the Server software directly onto the server, not via a workstation. This ensures that necessary registry settings are applied on the server.

Also install and run the Client on the Server, to ensure updates will install. The Accredo .exe file in the server directory should only be used for update purposes.

When you install Accredo on a Server for the first time, restart the Server after installation to activate the registry changes.

1. Close all Windows programs.
2. Download and run the Saturn Server or Mercury Server install file from the Accredo Download Centre.
3. Click Next.
4. Read the License Statement, click I accept the agreement, click Next.
5. Click Next to accept the default location or Browse to select another location.
6. Enter the 20-character installation key: dashes are optional and letters are not case sensitive. Click Next. If the message "Invalid install key" appears, ensure the key is typed correctly and retry. A common error is not distinguishing I (capital i) from 1 (one).
7. Click Next to accept the default Start Menu Folder or Browse to select another folder.
8. Click Install.
9. When the Installation Complete dialog opens, click Finish.
10. Restart the Server.
