Open (F12) button
Opens when you open a financial year from the Years grid, or when you add a new year.

Period ID |
The internal identifier used for a period (cannot be edited). |

Name |
The name for the period. This will appear in the period selection drop down lists and on reports. Can be edited. |
|||
Start Date |
The first date in the period. This must always be one day later than the end date of the immediately prior period. |
|||
End Date |
The last date in the period. Start and end dates can only be edited for periods that have no transactions and cannot be edited for finalised periods. It is important you have the correct start and end dates setup for periods before you use those periods. |

Status |
Period Status can be:
Note: Periods within the First Available and Last Available Period settings for Modules must be Status Open. |

Adjust |
Selected, the period is an adjustment period (not a financial period). Adjustment periods can only occur at the end of a financial year and they are only available for use in the GL. The start and end dates for adjustment periods must be the same as the end date of the immediately preceding period. |

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press |

Edit |
Enter edit mode, to edit the periods. |

Insert |
Insert a line. |

Move up / Move down
|
Move a line up or down the grid. |

Delete |
Delete a line. |
||
|
Print |
Print a report of the information in the grid. |

Customise |
Opens Customise Fields, you can customise the fields visible in the grid. |

Last Period Used |
Generate a report of the period ID's used by all control settings and highest period ID used in each table. |
||
|
Save |
Save and exit the window. |

|
Cancel |
Discard changes and exit the window. |
