CB Settings - Words tab

Navigator > Setup > Cash Book > Settings > Words tab

You can enter information to be included in the index for Word Lookups Word Lookup button.

Break Characters

Characters in addition to spaces that denote ends of words, for example, colon, semi-colon, dash, @. A space is considered a break character.

Note: Tab characters are displayed as ».

Ignore Characters

Characters to ignore (for example, parentheses, dashes). Telephone number characters must be entered correctly. For example, if you store (09)373-5961 and:

  • dashes and parentheses are ignored; you can look up 093735961.
  • dashes and parentheses are considered break characters; you can look up 09 or 373 or 5961, but not the whole number.
  • dashes are ignored and parentheses are considered break characters, you can look up 09 or 3735961.

Minimum Length

The minimum number of characters that make a word.

Any Word

Determines the state of the checkbox when Word Lookup is opened.

Partial Word

Determines the checkbox state when Word Lookup is opened.

Ignore Words

Ignores words that appear too often (for example, the, and, PO, Box, Ltd).

Bank Account Lookup Fields

Accounts can be word indexed to be located from an Account lookup control. Default field indexed is AccountName.

Bank Account Sort Order

Select a field to order Account lookup results by. If blank, results are ordered by AccountCode.

Analysis Codes Lookup Fields

Analysis Code fields can be word indexed to be located. Default field indexed is AnalysisName.

Analysis Sort Order

Select a field to order Analysis lookup results by. If blank results are ordered by AnalysisCode.

Grid Toolbars

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Ctrl+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Insert (F4)

Insert a new word or field.

Delete (F3)

Delete the selected word or field.

Export (Ctrl+E)

Exports the list of words as a text file, you can import the same words for another module or Company.

Import (Ctrl+I)

Import a list of previously exported words as a text file, saving time when adding the same or similar words for several Modules or a Company. A sample list of words to ignore is provided with the file name, IgnoreWords.txt.

Rebuild Words (Ctrl+R)

Rebuilds the index, including new fields and settings.
