Bank Feeds

Bank Feeds imports bank transactions into CB Bank Reconciliation statements from a bank feed provided by Akahu, instead of from a statement file exported from online banking. You sign in to Akahu and choose which bank accounts to share with Accredo. Transactions are imported every night for each bank account, into statements whose length is set by the bank account's statement cadence, and can be imported on demand for a date range.

Setting up Bank Feeds
Importing

The Accredo Web Service runs the overnight import for every company with bank feeds set up. For each bank account with Bank Feeds Enabled selected, transactions from seven days before the Last Import Date onward are fetched from Akahu, so transactions the bank posts late are picked up, and those already imported are skipped. Lines are added to the open statement, and a new statement is inserted each time the statement cadence is due. Statements with new lines are flagged in the New Feed Lines column of CB Bank Statements, and listed in CB New Feed Statements. If Match After Import is selected for the bank account, Match All runs after the import.

To import on demand, open the statement in CB Bank Reconciliation and click Import Bank Feed.

Each imported line carries the Akahu transaction id in the Bank Feed ID column, so a transaction is imported once only. Other Party holds the transaction description from the bank. Particulars holds the particulars from the bank, or the merchant name when the bank sends none. Where the bank supplies a balance with each transaction, the statement Closing Balance is set from the balance after the last imported transaction, so a missing transaction shows as a statement that does not balance. Otherwise the Closing Balance is calculated from the statement lines.

A failed import is reported by email to the Bank Feed Notifications addresses, or to the email address of each Akahu connection when none are set. A successful import is reported for bank accounts with Notify Success selected.

Revoking access

Revoke a connection in Bank Feed Connections with the Revoke Selected Login... button. Bank Feeds Enabled is cleared on every bank account fed through the connection, in every company. If access is revoked at the Akahu website instead, the stored connection is removed the next time it is used, and imports for its bank accounts fail until a new connection is made.
