Sales Person codes are used to analyse invoices (and optionally to group customers) for analysis. You can edit multiple Sales Person codes at once, inquire on, add, edit or delete, and graph period, year or last year sales. The Sales Person can be varied from invoice to invoice for a customer, but is the same for an entire invoice, so the Sales Person is tied to the Invoice record. A default Sales Person code can be entered in AR Customer, or the Sales Person can be entered or overwritten in the Invoice header when an invoice is raised. The net amounts, (exclusive of GST and charges) of invoices are added to Sales Person codes when invoices are posted.
Code |
A unique 8 character Analysis code used to identify the specific record. This field is shown as read-only to indicate that it cannot be edited. Use Alias codes to change Sales Person codes. Sales Person code 0000 is used to analyse sales when the Sales Person code is unspecified. |

Prints on reports and shows in Lookups. |

Role |
Job title of the Sales Person. This can be included in reports and documents. |

Phone Nos |
Customer telephone numbers. If Accredo is setup to interface with the telephone system, click Note: You can change the labels of the phone no fields in Company Settings - Display Labels. |

Inactive |
You can make a Sales Person inactive. Transactions do not post for an inactive Sales Person, and they will not appear in Lookups. We recommend checking for Customers associated with a Sales Person and reassigning them before making a Sales Person inactive. To do this, filter on SalesPersonCode in AR Customer. If there are a large number of Customers associated with a Sales Person, reassign using a script. |

Balances |
Balances are shown in the grid for enquiry. They cannot be edited, the balances must be supported by accounting transactions. |

Expand Toolbar |
Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press |

Insert |
Allows new records to be inserted and gives access to the Code field. Codes entered will sort alphabetically (or as specified if a sort has been added). |

Delete |
If transactions exist for the record, delete will not be available. |

Open Details |
Opens the Sales Person in AR Sales Person. You can also double-click to open a Sales Person. |

Print |
Print a report of the information in the grid. |
