Links

Masterfile Records have a Links tab, that lists all files linked to the record. Links can also be accessed from the LookupLink_Hot Links (Alt+F6) button within a record, and from Navigator > Maintain > [Module] > Link List. For example, Navigator > Maintain > Accounts Receivable > Customers > Links tab.

Links can be used to store related files and other objects outside of Accredo, for example:

You can use links to link a creditor to PDF files of their invoices.

The Links button is shown with a blue i LookupLink when links are present.

To add links, you can drag and drop files from Explorer or URL's from your browser into the Link List or Links tab, or click Select File (F2) in the File field to browse and select a file.

Accredo stores the links to files, not the files themselves. For this reason, we strongly recommend having a well organised system for storing, managing and backing up groups of files that are accessed via the Links in Accredo. The default location for the links folder is AccredoSaturn\Links or AccredoMercury\Links. It is recommended the Links folder is in a location all users can find. You may wish to use the Links folder in your main Accredo data folder, as this will be accessible to all users of the system.

Hint: You may wish to add a Send to Links Folder option to your Windows context (right mouse) menu, allowing you to send files directly to this folder. To do this, go to Accredo > View > Preferences and select the Add Links Folder to Send To list option.
