Table Register

Navigator > Setup > Table Designer > Table Register

Tables are automatically registered on Save in Table Designer. If registered tables are not found on Company open, a warning will display. Rebuilding the Table Register will remove the reference to the missing tables(s) and clear the warning. Register custom tables to:

Grid Toolbar

ToolbarExpand

Expand Toolbar (Alt+F9)

Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press Esc to close the expanded toolbar.

Edit (F11)

Edit the Table Designer Table Register.

Insert (F4)

Insert a line to add a custom table.

Delete (F3)

Delete a custom table from the register.

If the table is being used elsewhere, or is a domain source for another table, a warning will be displayed.

You will be prompted whether to delete custom table files on Save.

Print (Ctrl+P)

Print a report of records in the table. Only available in Browse mode.

Refresh (F5)

Reloads changes other Users may have made.

ScriptAddShortcut

Add Form To Navigator

Add a shortcut to the Navigator to open the table in a Maintenance grid.

Rebuild and Save register

Rebuilds the Table Register, adding custom tables from the data directory, and saves the register if it was rebuilt successfully.

SaveAs

Rename Custom Table

Opens Rename Table to allow you to enter a new name for the selected table.

Buttons

Save (F9)

Apply changes. The custom data dictionary will be rebuilt. You will be prompted to ensure you have taken a backup before proceeding.

If you have deleted custom tables from the register, you will be prompted whether to permanently delete custom table files. Select:

Yes - Saves the register and deletes the removed files.

No - Saves the register without deleting the removed files.

Cancel - Cancels the save and return to editing.

Cancel (Esc)

Closes without making any changes.
