Config file switches can be applied automatically to all users on startup from a configuration file.
Create a text file and enter the switches to be applied with one switch per line. Save the file into the Accredo system folder on the server with file name System.cfg.

/DEFEAT Config Parameter
The /DEFEAT config parameter can be added to the System.cfg file in the System Directory to enable Oplock Defeating. This is a Config file only switch. /DEFEAT defaults to false, but can be activated by adding the line:
/DEFEAT=Y
Ensure all users are logged out prior to applying the switch and all users are on the updated executable. The Defeat column in the Diagnostics Files tab shows which files have Defeats in place. This setting can help avoid Windows Errors.
If /DEFEAT is on, /SYNC will default to 0, meaning no sync locks are applied.
