This tutorial shows you how to create a Sales Analysis report, showing Products by Customers for a range of periods.
Go to Navigator > Reports > Sales Analysis > Analysis Report Designer.
On the Definition tab, leave the Analysis Type set to Invoices.
In the Analyse grid, select the following. This will allow you to add fields from the selected groups.
IC Products
AR Customers
In the Analysis Range, select:
Analysis - Range of Periods
The report will select data from a range of periods.
Beside the From Period field, click , to change it to . This will allow the user to select the From Period and To Period when the report is run.
On the Fields tab, select the following fields in the Source and FieldName columns. These fields will be available to the report.
IC Products - ProductCode
IC Products - Description
AR Customer - CustomerCode
AR Customer - CustomerName
Summary - QuantitySupplied
Summary - ExclusiveCostBs
Summary - ExclusiveAmountBS
Calculated - GrossProfitBs
Calculated - GrossMarginBs
For the Fields IC Products - ProductCode and IC Products - Description, enter 1 in the Group column. This ensures the information will be sorted by Product Code and Description.
On the Document Selections tab, select the following fields in the Line Type box. Clear the other selections. This makes sure only the actual products sold are included in the report.

Click Run (Ctrl+R) to run the report.
You will be prompted to select output options and the period range. Make selections then click Run (F9).
