Printing via Web Service

You can print objects via the Web Service.

Web Service PDF printing requires a local or available default printer. Attempting to Print to PDF Disk File via the Web Service will fail with an HTTP code 500 error if this condition is not met.

Setting a Default Web Service Printer

The default printer is configured through the Web Service Monitor inside the Accredo application.

Network Printers

By default, the Web Service does not recognise networked printers. To print to networked printers you can either:

1. Point a local queue to a network printer, by creating a local port with the relevant IP address of the printer. This is the preferred solution from a security perspective.

• Use the Windows Add Printer wizard.
• Add a Local Printer directly using manual settings, without adding automatically.
• Create a New Port, using type Standard TCP/IP Port.
• Enter the IP address of the printer, and the Port name.

2. Alternatively, you can change the account used.

• Log into Web Services using an account that is a Domain User with access to network printers.
