Optimise Tables

Navigator > Setup > Company > Utilities > Optimise Tables

Compacts and reorders your data for optimal performance. This is effectively a defragmentation for your data.

To optimise a custom table, use the Table Editor.

Warning: You will be prompted to back up your data before running this utility, as the process cannot be reversed. If you experience power or other failure during processing, restore the backup and perform the Optimise Tables again.


Module			The module to optimise tables in. AR includes IN and OE tables. AP includes PO tables. Select TD to optimise all custom tables designed in Table Designer.
Optimise			Select from: None - tables in the module will not be optimised. Recommended - Only optimise tables recommended for optimisation. This can be faster than optimising all tables. All - Optimise all tables in the module.
Grid Toolbar
		Expand Toolbar `(Alt+F9)`			Expand the toolbar to give access to all toolbar options. Press `Esc` to close the expanded toolbar.
		Customise `(Alt+F5)`			Opens Customise Fields, you can customise the fields visible in the grid.
		Select All `(Alt+A)`			Set all modules to: Recommended - Only optimise tables recommended for optimisation. This can be faster than optimising all tables - OR - All - Optimise all tables in all module.
		Unselect All `(Alt+U)`			Set Optimise to None for all modules.
Buttons
	Run `(Alt+R)`			Selected optimisations will run.
	Cancel `(Esc)`			Discard changes and close the form.
