Create a Shortcut Key

You can create a shortcut key for a script. A shortcut creates a key combination, toolbar button or navigator link, that will automatically run the script.

In this example, we will create a shortcut key combination for the NewInvoice1.pfs script created in Script to Create a New Invoice.

  1. Go to Navigator > Setup > Company > Scripts > Shortcut List. (Alternatively you can select Script > Shortcut List from the Accredo menu.)
  2. Click Insert (F4) to insert a new shortcut. Select Script.
  3. In the Script Name field, browse to select the script called NewInvoice1.pfs.
  4. In the Shortcut Key field, enter a combination containing either CTRL or ALT. Make sure the combination entered is not already used by Accredo or Windows, or the shortcut will not work.
  5. Click Save (F9).
  6. Test your shortcut by typing the key combination containing CTRL or ALT.

Keyboard shortcuts are stored per company, although each script is available across all companies. Refer to the online Help for more information on keyboard shortcuts.
