After ten years working in management accounting roles in the commercial sector and eight years supporting Profax and other accounting systems at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Christchurch, Neal left PwC in 2002 and founded his own business – AFI Systems Ltd.
Neal's core business is still accounting systems support for mid to large sized businesses in the South Island. He has completed many installations and updates of the Accredo Mercury and Saturn systems, and continues to support users of Profax7.
Most of Neal's clients run multi-user systems on either Linux or Windows networks and many run remote offices which are permanently connected to the head-office system.
One specialty area is the set up and reporting on complex General Ledger for businesses with multiple cost centres or divisions. He has also assisted a third-party payroll company to develop integration links to Accredo General Ledger.
Another specialty of Neal's is Job Costing. He previously worked as cost accountant for several manufacturers, so has a good understanding of the accounting issues within a jobbing environment. Neal supports more than 20 Job Costing sites.
